What exactly do you do?
Animal Rites, USA offers cremation services for pet parents at a crucial time after a pet death. We will pick up your beloved pet from your home or your vet's office and return the ashes in a quality oak box or an urn of your choosing. We will perform a pet memorial service when the ashes are returned if requested and also do pet services at the local pet cemeteries.
Does the service have to be religious?
No, we do both religious and secular services. Poems and readings appropriate to the owner's wishes and the pet are chosen.
Can pet owners take part in the service?
We always encourage owners to take some part in the service because that helps begin the healing process.
Will my pet go to heaven?
Whether you are religious or not, it is comforting to think our animals are in a safe place when they leave us. The Book of Genesis gives testimony that God gave us the responsibility to take care of the animals and because of those words we believe our pets will be taken care of when they leave us.

Will my pet be treated with dignity?
We treat all animals with the dignity and respect. The pets we transport are carefully carried and transported on a handmade quilt to their destination.
What do you do after the pet is returned or buried?
We offer a pet bereavement evening every second Tuesday of the month at Central Rappahannock Library for those who want to talk about their loss and know someone understands.
Can I plan ahead if I know my pet is going to die?
Yes, we offer pre-arrangement services so your decisions are made and you can have the confidence that everything you wanted will be done.
